Frequently asked questions

  • We're a queer-owned hair and facial studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Founded in 2017 by Alana Lucia, Baddies has evolved into a home for independent barbers who want a place to build community while maintaining the freedom of having their own business.

  • Baddies is located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn inside of the historic Pencil Factory building. While you can see us from the street, you need to be buzzed in to enter the building.

  • We have been in communication with our landlords about when we will be accessible 24/7. Presently, there is access from 9 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday.

  • There are only binary restrooms on the same floor where Baddies is located. On the 6th floor, there is a gender-neutral restroom. Use the code 1976.

  • We use R&Co products. All products are cruelty free.

  • We have expanded the services offered to the community by adding a small studio inside of Baddies where people can get facials, eyebrow services, lash lifts and tints, and full body waxing. Check out our Instagram @baddies_studio to find out more.

  • First of all, we ~cannot~ wait to see you. Helping people cut their hair off for the first time brings us so much joy! The best thing is to come with a photo of a haircut or haircuts that you like. That’s not to say it needs to be the haircut you end up getting, but it just helps us get a sense of the style you like. It could even be a photo that's more about a vibe you're into than the exact haircut you want. If having a consultation right before your haircut feels like it’s too much, feel free to email us to schedule a consultation in person or we can email back and forth about it too.

  • Some of us offer beard trims, but no one does straight razor shaves currently.

  • Look in the mirror, baby.
